Development Advisor – Flanders

As a Development Advisor, you will be part of a dynamic development team and actively contribute to the realization of various real estate projects. In this role, you will support the entire development process, from initial acquisition through to permitting and commercialization.

You will assist in land acquisition and work closely with the team to analyze the development potential of prospective sites. In addition, you will help prepare investment committees and closely monitor timelines and key milestones of ongoing projects.

During the development phase, you will contribute to the coordination of various stakeholders, including architects, engineering firms, and public authorities. You will support the commissioning of studies and help ensure a smooth permitting process.

• Prepare the bi-weekly Acquisition & Development meetings: draft agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action points under the supervision of the Business Unit Director Flanders/Netherlands;
• Develop project sheets and monitor key parameters of projects under development;
• Analyze the development potential of new projects during the acquisition phase, including an in-depth review of planning and zoning regulations;
• Support and participate in project development and team setup, including appointing engineering firms, liaising with external architects, and engaging with public authorities;
• Assist in the preparation of initial volumetric studies and feasibility analyses for projects in the acquisition pipeline.
  

• You preferably hold a higher education degree related to real estate and project development, such as:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in (ir.) Architecture
  • Engineering (construction)
  • Urban planning and spatial planning
  • Real Estate
• You already have initial experience in the real estate sector.
• You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously;
• You work accurately, meet deadlines, and have a practical mindset;
• You enjoy working in a team but are also able to work independently;
• You have a hands-on, can-do attitude and a results-driven approach;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus;
• You are familiar with relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Excel;
• Affinity with and/or knowledge of permitting processes for SME units, office, or residential projects is considered an asset.
