BVI.EU officially marks the launch of the Marche-en-Famenne Green Business Park with the symbolic laying of its first stone. This new SME park aims to support the economic development of Marche-en-Famenne and the surrounding region by offering businesses flexible, accessible and sustainably designed business spaces.
A new place to do business and grow in Marche-en-Famenne
Located on Rue Frasire, the Marche-en-Famenne Green Business Park benefits from a strategic location in the immediate vicinity of the N4, a major road connecting, among others, Namur and Bastogne. Just 2 km from the centre of Marche-en-Famenne, the site is also situated at the crossroads of the economic hubs of Namur, Liège and Luxembourg.
The laying of the first stone, taking place on 8 October in the presence of Nicolas Grégoire, Mayor of Marche-en-Famenne, local authorities and representatives of BVI.EU, marks a symbolic milestone in the realisation of the project. The ceremony will include official speeches and the symbolic laying of the first stone, followed by an informal lunch.
Located on a 28,435 m² site, the Marche-en-Famenne Green Business Park will offer 11,452 m² of business space, comprising 59 modular SME units and customised buildings.
“The laying of this first stone is a tangible expression of our ambition to continue BVI.EU’s development in Wallonia. We want to invest here in sustainable projects that are designed for the long term and capable of contributing to the vitality of the regional economy. Marche-en-Famenne has many strengths in this respect and fits perfectly within our development strategy.”
Flexible solutions for SMEs
The Marche-en-Famenne Green Business Park has been designed to meet a wide variety of business needs. The modular SME units offer spaces starting from 72 m² and are available in several configurations: standard units, corner units, street-facing units and City Boxes. The spaces can accommodate activities including production, storage, distribution, B2B showrooms and offices.
For companies with specific requirements, BVI.EU also offers customised buildings of up to 3,060 m², designed to adapt to their activities and support their development.
The SME units and customised buildings are available for sale or rent.
“An SME does not have the same needs when starting its business as it does a few years later. It is precisely this evolution that we want to support. In Marche-en-Famenne, the variety of modular SME units and the possibility of developing customised buildings enable us to offer solutions tailored to different types of companies and their growth prospects.”
A project developed in dialogue with the local community
Beyond its real estate offering, BVI.EU aims to integrate the project into the local economic environment. The development of the park therefore involves ongoing dialogue with the City of Marche-en-Famenne and the local authorities.
The objective is to create a professional environment that supports SMEs in their development while contributing to local economic activity and employment.
“A project of this scale is developed together with its local community. Dialogue with the City of Marche-en-Famenne and the local authorities is essential to developing a park that meets the needs of businesses while integrating sustainably into its surroundings. This local collaboration is an integral part of how we develop our projects in Wallonia,” emphasises Eric Roubaud, Business Unit Director Wallonia at BVI.EU.
“This project further strengthens the position of the City of Marche-en-Famenne as an economic hub. The arrival of this park provides a concrete solution for companies looking to establish themselves and grow, while offering a sustainable project and creating jobs that are firmly rooted in the local economy,” says Nicolas Grégoire, Mayor of Marche-en-Famenne.
A Green Business Park designed for the long term
Environmental considerations are an integral part of the design of the Marche-en-Famenne Green Business Park. The project includes the use of sustainable materials, responsible rainwater management and landscaping designed to promote biodiversity. Natural lighting is optimised within the units, while photovoltaic panels and charging stations for electric vehicles can be integrated as optional features.
The park will also provide 274 parking spaces, as well as private parking spaces associated with the business units.
