On Thursday 20 April, BVI.EU hosted a keynote at Parc de l’Europe Green Business Park in Wavre! We are now building the final phase there with brand new offices/B2B showrooms. Companies will be able to move in here from mid-2024.
We had the pleasure of welcoming none other than the Mayor of Wavre Anne Masson, as well as a handful of entrepreneurs from Wavre and the surrounding area. Chief Development Officer Geoffroy Dumonceau also delivered a keynote around the BREEAM Excellent certification, and how we at BVI.EU aim to obtain it. Such a BREEAM Excellent certification is the most popular sustainability certification in Europe in terms of ecological impact.
A strong focus on energy transition and thermal comfort: that’s what Parc De l’Europe Green Business Park is all about. This business park also meets the most stringent requirements in terms of ecology and sustainability. As in all our business parks, we have opted for the most advanced renewable energy technologies. Geothermal heat pumps and solar panels on the roof of the building but also on the roof of the car park will be the main sources of energy, making the building self-sufficient.
Geoffroy Dumonceau, Chief Development Officer of BVI.EU, explains: “BVI.EU attaches great importance to the sustainability of its projects and is a pioneer in this field. With geothermal energy, for example, we can generate the heat or cold needed to ensure the thermal comfort of the occupants in a highly efficient way. For the office building, we are aiming for a BREEAM Excellent certificate: an excellent reference for a sustainable office building. In short, this Green Business Park is a privileged place where entrepreneurs can settle and grow, created by BVI.EU”.
Parc de l’Europe Green Business Park consists of 55 SME units totalling more than 10,000 sq m of floor space, as well as a 3,600 sq m office building with 756 sq m of showrooms and a 9,000 sq m commercial complex for the company Mitiska.
With its modular SME units – suitable for logistics, warehousing, distribution and other uses – the business park is the ideal option for SMEs needing flexible space for specific needs. These units are characterised by a high degree of surface area flexibility, with areas ranging from 144 m² to 1,500 m².
The 3,600 sq m of office space on four floors ranges from 221 sq m to 876 sq m per level. The second and fourth floors each feature a green south-facing terrace. Finally, on the ground floor of the building are the two showrooms (about 378 m² each).
